3 months old Landon was rescued after a hit and run left him suffering in agonizing pain.

After hundreds of pounds of metal slammed into his fragile body, the careless driver left Landon in the middle of the road.

It was as if the driver ran over a leaf or some pebbles on the highway. The horrific event left Landon fighting for his life.

Landon was reported after he had found refuge in a nearby farm. He had been dragging his broken leg, back and forth trying to get some attention. Landon dragged his injured leg down the road until he came across a nearby farm.

He spent many hours crying out for help until someone finally heard his desperate please.

We cannot imagine how terrified and confused this little baby boy must have been. Landon was so new to the world and already being forced to deal with unthinkable.

Then, the sweet puppy was transported necessary to the vet and received all tests and exams.

His xrays showed a femur and tibial fracture to his back leg.

He had to be operated on immediately, as he is still growing the risk of his littles bones healing quickly and wrongly were high.

Landon’s short time on earth has been a difficult one, but what we do know is that its all up hill from here.

He is now recovering at the shelter in an isolation unit, he will need to stay isolated until he is done with antibiotics and his quarantine.
